Hello! My name is Elizabeth (Liz) Clark, and I have been fortunate to pursue a lifelong passion for education and mental health. I earned a BBA in Marketing from Lamar University but soon realized my true calling was in teaching. After receiving my teaching certificate in Special Education (K-12) from the University of Houston, I spent seven years teaching elementary and secondary students with learning disabilities and behavioral issues. This experience sparked my deep interest in mental health, leading me to pursue a master’s degree in Counseling and Development from Lamar University.

Therapeutic Approach:
I believe in a collaborative, holistic approach, incorporating the family into the healing process. My therapy includes:
- Family Systems Theory: Involving family dynamics in the therapeuticprocess.
- Narrative Therapy & Internal Family Systems Therapy: Helpingclients rewrite their stories and understand family roles.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & Dialectical Behavioral Therapy(DBT): Evidence-based approaches for managing emotions and behaviors.
- Mindfulness & Brief Therapy: Fostering self-awareness and emotionalregulation.
Simply put, I’ve always connected deeply with teenagers and young adults. Coming from a large family with over 30 nephews and nieces, I’ve been surrounded by children my whole life and feel fortunate to continue helping them through my work.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time at the beach, reading, drumming, tending to my succulents, and birdwatching. I’m incredibly grateful to continue this journey and look forward to supporting those in need.
